Simple Spring In The Living Room

It never fails. Every year the winter blues sweep in and spring fever takes over! Don't get me wrong, I love the winter months but the freshness of the spring months grows within me. After snagging some faux blooms from Michaels, the living room received some simple touches of greenery. Surely spring will come soon, right?

My favorite piece in the living room are these faux magnolia stems from Michaels. I was drawn to these blooms because they looked very real and they had a simplicity and elegance to them. Below, you can shop this entire look. I went off the deep end buying the faux blooms because well... they don't die and they always looks great! So anytime I stumble across real looking faux floral... I'm all in!

NOT SO PRO TIP

Add some water to your vases of faux floral. Not only will it look more real but it also feels fresh! I would have snipped the ends of the stems so they aren't bent but I want to reuse these stems in a longer vase in the future. They would look a lot more real if I would have snipped the stems in half though!

Another favorite spring touch in the living room was this botanical peony pillow from Linen & Ivory. When scrolling through Instagram, I was instantly stopped by this gorgeous accent pillow. Peonies are my absolute favorite bloom, so snagging this pillow was the perfect touch to adding spring in the room.

I absolutely love using old pieces to bring texture and character into a room. This old dresser is one of my favorite pieces that acts as our TV stand and has great storage underneath in the drawers.

I finished off the room with this fresh and inspiring white floral wreath from Home Goods. They had really great spring wreaths but felt like the white wreath would be versatile to go anywhere I put it! Hanging on my favorite antique mirror, it was the perfect match!
Well, I surely hope this inspired you guys for the spring weather that is right around the corner! I can't wait to start planting seeds for the flower garden and having warmer weather! Stay tuned in a few weeks as I have some exciting news coming!!
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Alyssa
