Spare Bathroom + Shower Reveal

We're so close to finishing yet another room in the farmhouse; the spare bathroom. I shared the inspiration and mood board of this bathroom here if you want a glimpse. Over the last several weeks, we've had plumbing installed and this past week we had Chris of Tile Perfections here tiling the shower out. Wowsers!
My mouth dropped when I saw the finished shower- check it out!

I found this stunning framed subway tile from Wayfair and fell in love with its classical and traditional feel. I paired the ceramic subway tile with a basketweave marble mosaic tile I found at Lowe's to pull the marble  tiled wall into the shower. Chris topped the tiles off with a white grout to make everything seamless.

One of my favorite design additions we had done were incorporating these antique cupboard doors that my in-laws have had for years. I decided to flank them on each side of the shower for extra storage and a old design element. I also love that the glass in these doors match our window above the kitchen sink.

There are obviously small touchups that need to be made in this bathroom like trimming, finishing the tile wall behind the clawfoot and some electrical work but we're making loads of progress. We had Cline Plumbing (so, so highly recommended if you're local) come out and install the clawfoot tub faucet and our sink faucet. I opted to mix metal tones in this bathroom so I chose this chrome clawfoot hardware. The clawfoot hardware matches our chrome/glass pendants that will flank a tall mirror and our vintage-inspired chrome wall faucet

So let's talk about paint color and other finishing fixtures. I really contemplated whether to go a moody blue vs. a creamy light color on the walls. I'm always a sucker for a great moody shade- especially if mixed well. I decided to go moody in this bathroom as I knew we had a light white tile wall and shower that would bounce light around the room. I'll be painting the master bathroom a creamy white to satisfy my light/brass desires. I decided on Benjamin Moore's, "Mysterious" to cover the bathroom walls. The color felt historical and dark in contrast to the white trim and design accents.

The gorgeous vintage chandelier was found from Chris at Vintage & Moss at the Vintage Market Days several years ago. Chris had rewired this antique beauty and I couldn't pass it up. The chandelier now hangs above our refinished clawfoot tub.

When entering the bathroom, I found this stunning antique door at Columbus Architectural Salvage. With its rounded glass panel and stunning moulding details- I knew it had to be our pocket door. I'll be frosting the glass for privacy and repainting the door. I also found antique pocket door hardware off of eBay.

We ran our Pergo, "Wheaton Oak" laminate flooring into the bathroom, too. The warmth of the flooring really accents all the other details in the room.

So what do you think? Are you in awe, too? Now that the shower is tiled, we can have the plumbers come back and finish out all the plumbing so that we can have water! Fingers crossed we can start moving in this December... but we shall see! Until next time, friends!

Hugs, Alyssa
